Dr. Saari grew up in Wainfleet and started working in the optometric field in 1991. After graduation in 2003 he became an associate. He became a regular columnist about eye health issues in the Welland Tribune for 4 years (2005 to 2009). In January 2012, he opened is own office at 154 West Main Street with a goal of raising the bar on optometric care in Welland. He developed a special interest in glaucoma therapy and management during his training at the Bascom Palmer Eye Instititue in Miami, Florida. He is currently a member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario, the Ontario Association of Optometrists and is part of the Quality Assurance Team for the College. He has 3 children and is married to his highschool sweetheart.
